Our work is committed to investigate and engage with some of the urgencies that the present ecological and social challenges push us to. We understand that sustainable and inclusive futures should be nurtured by enlarging our capacity of re-imagining and actively co-creating the world we – and all planetary creatures – want to live in together. Besides aligning our thoughts and practices with worldviews of interconnectedness, this website frames our work into the categories of art, architecture, landscape, public space // research, education, event, exhibition, publication. Nevertheless, if we meet personally sometime, we will surely tell you these stories otherwise…
Bernhard König
Bernhard König studied architecture and urbanism in Weimar, Oxford and Zurich and has worked for Herzog & de Meuron in Basel, the Büro für Urbane Projekte in Leipzig and the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation (IBA Urban Redevelopment 2010), and the Institute for Architecture and Landscape TUGraz from 2010-19. Bernhard has been researching social, technical, climatic and ecosystemic issues of urban landscapes whilst being responsible for landscape-based test-bed projects like the Austrian Pavilion “breathe.austria” at Expo2015 in Milan. He is a member of Breathe Earth Collective, founder architect of ecosphere.institute, and Executive Director at Green4Cities .
Daniela Brasil
Daniela Brasil is an artist, activist, curator, educator and researcher. She grew up in a concrete jungle on the shores of the Atlantic and lived in various bioregions until she moved to Graz in 2010. She studied Architecture and Urbanism in Rio de Janeiro, Environmental Urban Design in Lisbon and Barcelona, Social Sculpture in Oxford, and received her MFA and PhD in Artistic Strategies for Public Participation at Bauhaus University Weimar. She was teacher and researcher at Bauhaus University Weimar and the Institute for Contemporary Art at the TUGraz, as well as a post-doc fellow at the University of Rijeka. She is currently curator at the Graz Museum, member of the advisory board of <rotor> centre for contemporary art, part of the Daily Rhythms Collective and the Ecoversities Alliance. Her work is diverse, it can take the form of installations, spaces of encounters, performances, texts, story-telling… She is mostly interested in co-creation/ transformative learning processes that value the pluriverse.
