Samovar Activity Café

an initiative from the Daily Rhythms Collective and <rotor> center of contemporary art
2015 – 18, funded by participants donations and Land Steiermark Kultur
Started in november 2015, the Samovar activity cafe brought newcomers from Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria together with artists, students and cultural producers based in Graz together, to enjoy spending time together. A multigenerational and inclusive space, where different guided and open activities facilitate various forms of dialogue and knowledge and skills exchange. Moreover, the initiative created a space of mutual trust that unfolded in friendship.
